Delivering More Than Just Dinner
If getting to the store isn’t as easy as it used to be, Pasco County Senior Services has a straightforward solution. Seniors 60 and older can enroll in a home delivery meal program that brings balanced, ready-to-eat meals right to the door. No apps, no hoops, just reliable service that helps people stay independent.

Enrollment includes a simple eligibility check and a home visit so the program can match support to need. There’s no set charge for the meals. Recipients can make a voluntary contribution if they choose. Each meal is built to meet solid nutrition standards, the kind that actually move the needle on health.
This isn’t flashy, but it matters. If you have a parent, grandparent, or neighbor in Wesley Chapel who’s choosing convenience over nutrition because it’s hard to get out, point them here. A dependable meal can be the difference between getting by and doing well.

Thrashing in New Port Richey

If you’ve had your helmet on the shelf and your board under your bed for too long, get ready to roll out again. A major upgrade is coming to the skatepark in New Port Richey. The city has approved a $475,000 overhaul that will breathe new life into the worn-out concrete and launch ramps that local skaters thought were written off.
The plan? Refresh the existing terrain, add a modern concrete bowl, and engage a known designer to push the park from “used” to “next level.” One of the city’s pieces of the puzzle: selecting a firm with a proven track record to streamline the process and skip through the red tape.
Timing is in motion. Once designs are approved (which could take a matter of weeks), construction is expected to ramp up. Altogether, the city estimates the full turnaround could be completed in under a year — not bad when you’re talking major infrastructure.
What’s clear: this isn’t just about concrete and ramps. It’s about turning a spot people pass by into a destination. Whether you’re on a board, scooter, or BMX, there may soon be a better reason to skate over to New Port Richey and stay for the scene.
